Efforts underway to familiarize foreign diplomats with Iran’s tourist centers

TEHRAN – Mohammad-Reza Pouyandeh of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicraft Organization (CHTHO) has said conducting tours for foreign ambassadors and diplomats in Iran has received great attention over the past year.

The purpose for arranging such tours is to familiarize foreign diplomats with Iran’s tourist attractions, said Pouyandeh, the CHTHO director for foreign tourism.
He also said such tours offer investment opportunities for foreigners.
He went on to say that these tours are conducted every three months.
Pouyandeh added a considerable number of ambassadors from different countries have so far visited Golestan province, the old city of Kashan in Isfahan province, and the Aras free zone region in West Azarbaijan.
He added a number of foreign ambassadors and diplomats residing in Tehran are going to take a tour of Yazd during the next month
